24-HOUR HOT LINE - Receives incoming telephone calls of individuals calling hot line (at night, in home). With additional training, accesses safety issues, arranges intakes, police intervention, offers options and referrals to other organizations.
FOOD AND PROCUREMENT - Picks up and transports donated food, furniture, clothing from individuals in the community.
CHILDREN'S PROGRAM - Works during days or evenings in coordinated program for children, interacting, play therapy, Bible stories, music - overall general child care (children newborn to young teenagers).
MAINTENANCE - Maintains shelter and administrative office; repairs appliances, automobiles in fully-equipped repair shop; does grounds-keeping, painting, caring for shelter animals, etc.
CLIENT CARE - Transportation for client families to medical, legal or other necessary appointments.
OTHER - There are several other short- and long-term areas of service and need that volunteers may wish to serve in that can be discussed with the staff on a case-by-case basis.
